At DuPage Medical Group, our mission is to provide excellence in psychological services for our patients and providers while acting as a resource for the community in which we serve. Our clinical psychologists evaluate, diagnose and treat mental, emotional, adjustment or behavioral health problems.

Understanding the process

After scheduling an appointment, patients will meet with one of the psychologists at DuPage Medical Group for an intake evaluation (diagnostic interview). Areas that often are covered in this evaluation include past medical and psychiatric history, family background, educational and employment history and current stressors and symptoms. Following the intake evaluation, the psychologist will discuss his or her recommendations with the patient. Treatment goals are discussed and decided upon collaboratively. Referral for psychiatric medication evaluation/medication management may also be made at this time.
