Igor Kosciuch, P.T., M.D.T., recently joined the DuPage Medical Group team of therapists. Igor came to DMG with a wealth of clinical knowledge, having spent more than 16 years as a physical therapist. Igor is also fluent in Polish and speaks some French, German and Russian.
Igor completed his undergraduate degree in physical therapy from McGill University in Montreal, Canada in 1996 and continued his clinical through the McKenzie Institute, where he acquired a reliable assessment strategy (also known as Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy) that he uses as his compass for patient treatment solutions.
Igor enjoys treating primarily orthopaedic and neurology patients, especially those in their golden years. He is also familiar with Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) which is utilized in treatment of a variety of orthopaedic conditions, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, TBI, cardiac and geriatric patients.
As a listener and compassionate therapist, Igor enjoys educating patients about their condition and providing them with self-care methods and home exercise programs to achieve a successful recovery. He believes that the cornerstone to a successful recovery is achieved through addressing all aspects of patients’ needs from ergonomics to their home environment.
