DuPage Medical Group is proud to welcome Dr. Nirupama Bonthala as a new Hospitalist. This group of physicians is based on a patient centered approach to wellness that emphasizes the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and their families in accelerating the healing process. A dedicated and knowledgeable physician, Dr. Bonthala is committed to providing the best possible primary and preventative healthcare to her patients.
Dr. Bonthala received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Psychology from New York University in 2003, and in 2008 received her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. She went on to complete an intensive three-year residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Illinois Chicago in 2011. During her residency, Dr. Bonthala received the Resident of the Year award in 2010.
Dr. Bonthala has a variety of clinical interests including cholesterol, diabetes, and hypertension. She is a member of the American College of Physicians and is affiliated with Central DuPage Hospital.
