Rameez Alasadi, M.D.
Dr. Alasadi is a board certified gastroenterologist recognized for his skills in advanced endoscopic procedures and expertise in the management of various malignant and benign pancreatobiliary and gastrointestinal diseases.
He is a leader in diagnosis and treatment of these conditions using cutting edge procedures and techniques including: endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), EUS guided fine needle aspiration, EUS guided celiac nerve block, pseudocyst drainage, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatogram (ERCP), Choledochoscopy & pancreatoscopy (spyglass), radiofrequency ablation for Barrett’s esophagus (BARRX), endoscopic mucosal resection for precancerous and early malignant GI lesions, and expandable stents placement to palliate obstructive symptoms of GI malignancies.
Most recently, Dr. Alasadi was an Associate at The Center for Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy at Northwest Community Hospital. Prior to that he was in practice at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago and served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
Dr. Alasadi received his medical degree in 1992 from University of Damascus in Syria. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. He finished his Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. Dr. Alasadi completed Advanced Training in Endoscopic Ultrasound and GI oncology at the University of California, Irvine.
Dr. Alasadi has a great passion for teaching; over the past few years he has conducted multiple workshops for gastroenterologists, GI fellows, GI nurses and technicians.
Dr. Alasadi was recognized by Best Doctors of America in 2005-2006 and 2007-2008; this honor is based on peer review. Dr. Alasadi is currently a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He is a past member of the Pancreatic Cancer Panel, National Comprehensive Cancer Network.
