Robin Fortman, APN/CNP

As an advanced practice nurse—nurse practitioner, Robin Fortman specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic cardiovascular disease, including the management of heart failure and hypertension. She coordinates the research trials conducted in the Department of Cardiology. She has presented many lectures to the community and to healthcare providers on the subjects of heart failure, hypertension and advanced cardiac life support. Prior to joining the DuPage Medical Group, Robin was a Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois.

Robin Fortman received her Bachelor of Science degree in 1983 from Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana. In 1990, she completed her Master of Science degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago where she also received the Masters Award. Robin completed a post graduate Adult Nurse Practitioner Program at North Park University, Chicago in 1997. She is a board certified Adult Nurse Practitioner. She is also a board certified Clinical Research Coordinator.

Robin is a member of the Heart Failure Society of America and the Association of Clinical Research Professionals. She is affiliated with Central DuPage Hospital.
