Melissa D. Koopmann joined The Dermatology Institute in Wheaton in August 2010. As a board certified and licensed Physician Assistant, Melissa is under the supervision of Dr. Kelle Berggren and treats general dermatology conditions such as acne, psoriasis, and eczema. She encourages skin cancer prevention with all of her patients and is trained in performing both surgical and cosmetic dermatology. An experienced Physician Assistant, she has been in practice since 2004.
Melissa received her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Practices from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Illinois. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse where she also obtained a Chemistry minor.
She currently is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Illinois Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Surgical Academy of Physician Assistants. Melissa’s enthusiasm and caring nature provides her patients with the best of care.
