Renu Sachdev holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy which she earned at Seth G.S. Medical College in Bombay, India in 1978. She joined Dupage Medical Group in 2005 and brings over 30 years of experience in outpatient orthopedics and neuro rehab to the DMG Physical and Occupational Therapy department.
Renu’s diverse background includes experience in all phases of adult rehabilitation including home health and skilled nursing, which makes her especially adept at treating our senior population. Renu strives to be sensitive to each patient’s particular needs and works with her patients to develop individualized treatment programs that focus on return to function. Renu aims to provide the highest quality medical care to all patients by developing a good relationship with each patient and empowering them to reach their goals by educating them on anatomy, posture, and home exercise programs that fit the patient’s needs and abilities.
A lifelong learner, Renu is committed to staying at the forefront of assessment and treatment techniques through regular participation in professional training seminars. An advocate of hands-on manual therapy, Renu has been specialty trained in Myofascial Release (MFR), Strain/Counter Strain techniques, and the St. John’s method of Neuromuscular therapy.
In addition to clinical care, Renu has taught physical rehabilitative programs at the high school level to encourage the next generation of Physical Therapists. Renu is fluent in English, Hindi, and other Indian dialects.
