Kathy Coffel, OT, joined the staff of DuPage Medical Group in 2005. She is a 1992 graduate of Chicago State University with a BS in Occupational Therapy.
Kathy has over 18 years of experience in the treatment of hand, finger, wrist, and upper extremity diagnoses resulting from joint and nerve injury. She is an expert in creating custom splints for both surgical and non-surgical diagnoses and enjoys the challenges of treating complex injuries. A lifelong learner, Kathy stays current with the latest research and surgical techniques through her participation in clinical education seminars including Graston Technique, advanced joint mobilization for the wrist and hand, and mobilization of the nervous system.
Kathy believes that the best outcomes from therapy result from a collaborative approach between the patient, the physician and the therapist. Her patients benefit not only from her depth of experience, but also from the close working relationship that Kathy has with the referring physicians of DMG.
