Carie Pace, P.T.

Carie Pace joined Dupage Medical Group in 1992 after receiving her BS in Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin- Madison in 1984. Carie has over 25 years of experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting. In addition, she has enjoyed working with and managing Lymphedema patients for over 10 years. Over the last two years, Carie has become an active and integral part of the Women’s/Men’s Health and Pelvic Floor Team here at DMG.

Carie enjoys working with a variety of patients including orthopedic, post surgical, lymphedema, pelvic floor and women’s health issue’s including incontinence, pelvic pain, and pre and post natal conditions. She has enhanced her knowledge by participating in a variety of advanced clinical education courses, including manual therapy, myofascial release, muscle energy, SI, lymphedema and pelvic floor, women’s health courses. Carie has just completed her Level 1 training towards the Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Physical Therapy (CAPP). CAPP certification is awarded to physical therapists that complete a 3 part series of training in pelvic physical therapy, pass rigorous testing requirements at each level and complete a written case report. Carie looks forward to continuing to pursue this certification as well as increasing her expertise in the treatment of urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic pain, and the pre and post natal client.

Carie knows that for the best outcomes to occur in physical therapy, the treatments must go beyond just the appointment visit. She enjoys getting to know her patients and developing treatment plans that work with their lifestyles. She recommends exercise and minor changes in behavior that can realistically fit with a patients’ everyday life to promote and empower physical well being long after therapy is completed.
