DuPage Medical Group welcomes Abdel Fahmy, M.D. to its department of Addictionology. Dr. Fahmy will be practicing at the DuPage Medical Group locations on Spalding Drive and Rolling Ridge Road in Naperville.
Dr. Abdel Fahmy received his medical degree from Cairo University School of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt. Dr. Fahmy completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at Catholic Health Partners in Chicago and was an attending staff member at Glen Oaks Hospital in Glendale Heights. Dr. Fahmy is currently the President of the Illinois Society of Addiction Medicine in Chicago, is a co-chair of the Illinois Advisory Board for Alcohol and Substance Abuse, is a Member of the Advisory Board for the GL Addiction Technology Transfer Center, and is an Executive Board Member at the Clinical Trail Network, NIDA.
Dr. Fahmy’s clinical interests include pain management, obesity, and drug addiction. Dr. Fahmy is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, Board Certified in Addiction Medicine, and is a Certified Professional in Health Information and Management Systems. His affiliations include Access Community Health Network and Soft Landing Recovery.
