Katherine Marchese is a board certified adult nurse practitioner, as well as being board certified as a wound, ostomy and continence nurse. She has worked in the field of urology for over 20 years. She has extensive experience in treating patients with bladder health concerns, pelvic pain, sexual dysfunction and cancer. Her mission is to deliver an excellent quality of care to patients and identify the availability of community resources to assist the patient in their return to an optimal health status.
Katherine received her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Benedictine University in Lisle and completed her graduate degree as an adult nurse practitioner at Loyola University. She became a clinical nurse specialist in 2001 and earned her WOCN certification in 1994. She has served on multiple task forces for urinary incontinence, stone disease, prostate cancer and erectile dysfunction. She is a board member, both locally and nationally, for the Society for Urologic Nurses and Associates.
In addition, she is a member of the Certification Board and serves on the National Approver Board for educational events. Kathy has spoken at local, regional and national conferences on a variety of urologic topics and has published articles in peer-reviewed journals.
