A member of DuPage Medical Group since 1999, Dr. Boettcher is board certified in Pediatrics and specializes in infant and child healthcare. Prior to DuPage Medical Group, he served as Chief of the Pediatrics Department at the 5th Medical Group Regional Hospital for the United States Air Force. It was during his tour of duty in the Air Force that he developed his special interest in preventative medicine and chronic disease management, such as obesity, asthma, Down Syndrome and ADHD. He is experienced in evaluating, diagnosing and managing the different challenges that parents encounter every day including general child care concerns, developmental problems, sleep problems, international adoption and bowel or bladder problems. He is a firm believer and supporter of breast feeding, immunizations and the practice of evidence based medicine.
Dr. Boettcher graduated with honors from the University of Chicago in 1989 and received his Medical Degree in 1993 from the University of Chicago-Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed his Residency in Pediatrics at the University of Chicago Children’s Hospital, where he currently serves as a clinical instructor for medical students.
He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is affiliated with Advocate Good Samaritan and Edward Hospitals.
