A very well-trained and accomplished physician, DuPage Medical Group welcomes Dr. Stephen Chang to the Gastroenterology Department. Dr. Chang’s clinical interests include colon cancer screening, liver disease, GERD as well as various gastrointestinal disorders. In addition to performing colonoscopy, upper endoscopy and video capsule endoscopy, Dr. Chang is trained in performing ERCP, esophageal manometry and placement of esophageal Bravo pH capsules.
After completing his undergraduate education at Yale University and graduating Magna Cum Laude, Dr. Chang received his medical degree in 1999 from the University of Wisconsin Medical School. He went on to complete his residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Chang attended the Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine for his fellowship where he also served as Chief Fellow in Gastroenterology. Dr. Chang conducted various research studies while at Northwestern.
Dr. Chang is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the Chicago Society of Gastroenterology. He is affiliated with The Center for Surgery, Tri-Cities Surgery Center, Central DuPage, Delnor, and Edward Hospitals.
