Podiatry, Foot and Ankle Surgery

Christina M. Brown, D.P.M., F.A.C.F.A.S.

Dr. Christina Brown was the sole founder the Podiatry, Foot and Ankle Surgery Department of DuPage Medical Group. As a member of DuPage Medical Group since 1991, Dr. Christina Brown is an experienced and well respected podiatric physician and surgeon among the community as well as her peers. Over the past two decades Dr. Brown has been instrumental in building the department from a single physician and location to what it is today with four well respected surgeons covering six different Chicago land locations.

Originally from upstate New York, Dr. Brown completed her undergraduate degree at Cornell University. She received her medical degree from Illinois College of Podiatric medicine in 1986 followed by a surgical Residency at West Side Veterans Administration Medical Center Hospital. Dr. Brown is the recipient of academic and professional honors. She has been an Attending physician at West Side Veterans Administration Medicine Center Hospital and is currently an attending physician at St. Joseph’s Hospital actively involved in training and shaping residents in the surgical program.

Dr. Brown’s is highly experienced in treating all conditions of the foot and ankle using both surgical and non-surgical approaches. Her areas of clinical interest include; sports medicine, pediatric podiatry, fractures of the foot and ankle, bunions, hammertoes, neuromas, diabetic foot care, heel pain and orthotic therapy. Dr. Brown is knowledgeable in the latest treatment options and has been instrumental in the department’s implementation of orthotic scanners as an alternative to traditional casting. This method has become a cutting edge technology in the industry.

Dr. Brown is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, Board Certified in Foot Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. She is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, and the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association. She is affiliated with Glen Oaks Hospital, Surgical Center of DuPage Medical Group, and Valley Ambulatory Surgery Center.

Dr. Brown enjoys traveling, horseback riding, photography, pottery, and spending time with her family. She and her husband own two American Bulldogs.
