As a member of our Pediatrics Department, Dr. Abbasian specializes in caring for children through prevention, diagnosis, treatment, education and medications. Dr. Abbasian joined DuPage Medical Group in 1986.
Dr. Abbasian received her medical degree in 1977 from the Tehran University. She completed her Internship at the Tehran University Affiliated Hospitals in Tehran, Iran, and completed her Residency in Pediatrics and Fellowship in Neonatology at the Cook County Children's Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Abbasian is affiliated with Edward and Central DuPage Hospitals.
Dr. Abbasian's emphasis is on prevention, but when treatment is necessary, she keeps the patients and parents well informed, so together they will determine the best course of treatment. It is this dedication and compassion that led to her nomination in 2011 by readers of Chicago Parent Magazine for Excellence as a “Chicago’s Favorite Kids Doc”.
