DuPage Medical Group is proud to welcome Dr. William H. Gros to the Department of Family Medicine. Dr. Gros is a board certified physician with expertise in general medicine, preoperative and post operative surgical care. Dr. Gros is a strong patient advocate and specializes in continuity of care. His academic and professional experience is highlighted by numerous honors and awards including multiple Castle Connolly Top Doctor and Town & Country’s top 500 doctors in the U.S.
After completing his undergraduate studies at Augustana College where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa, Dr. Gros received his medical degree in 1980 from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Illinois. He went on to complete his three year residency at the Community Memorial General Hospital in LaGrange, Illinois. He is a former department Chairman and served on numerous executive committees and Quality Assurance committees. Dr. Gros was an Emergency Room physician for 4 years.
Dr. Gros has particular clinical interests in Adult Diabetes, Heart Disease, Hyperlipidemia and Hypertension, but also sees a broad spectrum of other health issues. He is an active member in the Illinois Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians and is a Senior Medical Staff member with Adventist LaGrange and Adventist Hinsdale Hospitals.
