A dedicated and compassionate individual, Riaz Ali brings a unique set of skills to the DMG team of therapists. Riaz is specialty trained in Vestibular therapy and is able to expertly treat patients with Vertigo and other balance disorders. He also has a background in Pilates, and enjoys incorporating these techniques into his treatment programs. He is adept at identifying posture and gait dysfunctions that may be contributing to a patient’s injury. Riaz is a 2001 graduate of Governor State University with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy. He sees patients at our Wheaton Clinic.
In addition to treating Vestibular patients, Riaz enjoys the variety of orthopedic patients that we see at DMG. Having extensive experience in Acute Care settings, he is an expert in post-operative care for Total Joint Replacement patients and is able to set them on the path to full recovery of function. A “hands on” therapist, Riaz uses his training in advanced manual therapy techniques such as Maitland, Strain Counter Strain, and Brian Mulligan’s Mobilization with Movement approaches to effectively rehabilitate his patients.
Riaz enjoys treating a variety of ages and has a special gift for working with our senior population to help them return to an active, enjoyable lifestyle.
