DuPage Medical Group is proud to welcome Dr. Shantan Reddy as a member of our Ophthalmology department. His clinical expertise includes adult and child diabetic retinopathy screening and laser therapy, macular degeneration, uveitis, and retinal surgery for macular diseases and retinal detachments.
Dr. Reddy completed his vitreoretinal fellowship training at the Jules Stein Eye Institute, UCLA Medical Center, where he was awarded the prestigious Heed Fellowship and Frederick G. Rappaport Fellowship for ophthalmic research. Prior to that, he completed his ophthalmology residency at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital where he acted as chief resident. Dr. Reddy received his M.D. and M.P.H. degrees at New York Medical College.
Dr. Reddy has published over 35 scientific papers on vision research and serves on the editorial board for the Journal of Medical Case Reports and World Journal of Ophthalmology. He has also been featured on ABC News with Diane Sawyer, The Today Show, and CBS News to discuss various ophthalmic topics. Before joining DuPage Medical Group, Dr. Reddy served as chief of vitreoretinal services and assistant residency program director at the New York University School of Medicine.
Dr. Reddy is fully committed to providing compassionate care and services to his patients and is looking forward to serving the DuPage community in the years to come. He is board certified in ophthalmology and is affiliated with Good Samaritan and Hinsdale Hospitals.
