Dr. Wang specializes in many endoscopic procedures including esophagoscopy, gastroscopy, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). His clinical interests include bariatric medicine and obesity, colon cancer, gallbladder disease, Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, liver disease, esophageal disorders including GERD and Barrett’s esophagus, nutrition and various gastrointestinal disorders.
Dr. Wang received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University where he was awarded the Spirit of Princeton Award for leadership, initiative and service. He attended medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. Dr. Wang completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia and received the Chief ’s Distinguished Service Award for Resident of the Year in 2005. He then went to Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania where he earned his fellowship in Gastroenterology and Nutrition. Dr. Wang served as Chief Fellow in 2007.
Dr. Wang is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American College of Gastroenterology. He is affiliated with Edward, Good Samaritan and Central DuPage Hospitals.
