DuPage Medical Group is proud to welcome Dr. Joseph Sutherland as a new Hospitalist. The group is based on a patient centered approach to wellness that emphasizes the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and their families in accelerating the healing process. Dr. Sutherland is dedicated to providing compassionate and quality medical care to his patients.
Dr. Sutherland received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Carleton College in 2004, and in 2008 received his medical degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York. He went on to complete an intensive three-year residency in Internal Medicine at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois, in 2011. During his residency, Dr. Sutherland received a prestigious nomination for the St. Luke’s Day Resident of the Year. As the sole Internal Medicine Resident to receive this nomination, he was recognized for his commitment to education and consistent outstanding style of teaching.
Dr. Sutherland has a variety of clinical interests including hematology/oncology, cardiology, and adult diabetes. He is a member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Sutherland is affiliated with Central Dupage Hospital, Edward Hospital, and Good Samaritan Hospital.
